Jaipur: Students of a government school in Samaria area of Banswara district came in for a surprise when a helicopter carrying JD(U) president Sharad Yadav landed at the school ground during class hours.

Yadav, who addressed a party rally near the school yesterday, made scheduled landing at the school ground with necessary clearance from the district administration, additional district collector Mohanlal Gupta said on Thursday.

"The ground is behind classrooms and classes were on at the time of the landing, but everything was in order," he said.

No untoward incident occurred and Yadav addressed the public gathering, he said, adding that special security arrangements were made for the visit.
