A frustrated employee throws off his job on the face of his annoying, fat, “Do it, and do it properly”, lady boss, by saying words which probably sum up my thoughts here. He said, “Go **** yourself.”
Well, that was in a movie. But, this is the real problem. We all think of the thing we are not supposed to think, half the hours of our day. While this is the least expected thing to be thought of since, it is the most easily gettable thing in the world. Oh come on!! We are the natives of the Kama Sutra land. The only nation to have a whole temple dedicated to this mere emotion coming out of an adrenalin gland and probably the shortest to last in our memory.
A few months back came the news of a celeb Hollywood couple coming to India for their wedding. Celebrating it with an Indian cultural delight and hence, announcing a 48-hour recluse honeymoon to work their way through the Kama Sutra. Or, the freakish attempt of pop singer Lady Gaga by announcing a range o
f perfumes that lingers the smell of blood mixed with semen.
Now, this is nothing to do with praising the white race which arrogantly calls itself ‘The Americans’ or being jealously called so by the not so white and prejudiced, poor we. But, yes it’s true. Over the due course of time they understand this phenomenon better than any other homo-sapiens on this planet.
When it comes to this so called ‘Under the sheets’ kind of thing… they are least bothered about it. Yeah! They have much more important things to deal with rather than putting three stars after the word ‘F’. Intercourse there is an activity, not a taboo. Exceptions being the Clinton controversy where Mr. President was busy in the act, when the whole nation was fighting a war in the Gulf.
They have a billion dollar industry encashing on some hesitant masses, which are so ignorant that, what they are seeing stealthily behind closed doors, without any copyright is actually being plagiarized from their own scriptures.
So, here are the facts, as we are the nation where theory has more marks than the practical.
A survey conducted by a news magazine into the Asian suburbs reveals that an average Indian has sex in his mind throughout the day, doesn’t matter whether he is working or not. Their cover story ‘What Men Want’ suggests that, Men want sex, even when they are in love and sometimes to the exclusion of romance. Same is the case with women.
But Women hide the real face of their desire behind don’t know/can’t say choices. Men haven’t chosen don’t know/can’t say options, but they too have placed chastity on a pedestal.
But talking in the Indian context, we are too primitive in our ideology when it comes to sex. We have it in our minds 24x7. We love it, we love to talk about it, we love to experience it… we love to explore it. But we don’t want to be a part of it. Sex is not the answer. Sex is the question. ``Yes`` is the answer .
Let’s open up folks, once and for all, at least for our culture’s sake. Development of human society is directly proportional to its attitude towards this basic necessity of evolution. Had it not being this compunction our society would’ve been much more advanced. In the words of Leonardo da Vinci – “The art of procreation and the members employed therein are so repulsive, that if it were not for the beauty of the faces and the adornments of the actors and the pent-up impulse, nature would lose the human species.”
The only halt in our mental development is the increasing size of our quilts and our promiscuous vision towards sexuality. The last progenitors of Mughal Empire were so busy hiding their sexual enticements that they didn’t even notice the Indian economy being crippled orthopedically by the East India Company. Eventually, the result of this thin approach towards such a widespread phenomenon was that we lost 200 golden years of elevation in slavery.
Jay Leno once said, “For the first time in history, sex is more dangerous than the cigarette afterward.”
Love happens only to a heart that has already pumped a huge amount of blood inside the veins of virility. What is commonly called love, namely the desire of satisfying a voracious appetite with a certain quantity of delicate white human flesh. On a lighter note director Woody Allen said- “Sex relieves tension - love causes it.” He further elaborates, “Sex without love is an empty experience, but as empty experiences go, it’s one of the best”.
Being civilized and broadminded doesn’t mean living in posh colonies, shopping in malls, owning luxury cars, watching daily soaps, eating pizzas and using condoms. But to have a wider vision and a centered approach that encompasses every aspect of a total pack development of body and soul. Let life be simpler and less complicated.
