Zee Media Bureau New Delhi: Maruti Suzuki is all set to launch the hybrid version of its sedan – Ciaz today. Ciaz SHVS will be the company’s first car to be powered with a mild-hybrid technology.
Maruti Suzuki dealers has already started taking pre-orders for the sedan at a token amount of Rs 25,000. Ciaz SHVS is claimed to be country's most fuel efficient car, the car delivers an impressive fuel economy of 28kmpl.
The Maruti Suzuki Ciaz SHVS will derive its power from a 1.3-litre DDiS Multijet diesel engine with SVHS technology that composed of an integrated starter generator.
The SHVS technology was showcased at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. The Maruti Ciaz hybrid will be offered in Vdi, Vdi (O), Vdi+, Zdi and Zdi+ variants.
Maruti Ciaz is currently the second most selling car in the C-segment after Honda City.
