Rs.150 crore for research under Atal Innovation Mission

Kolkata: Finance Minister Arun Jaitley Saturday announced the Atal Innovation Mission with an initial fund of Rs.150 crore for research and development.

"The platform will also provide a network of world class hubs...The initial sum of Rs.150 crores will be earmarked for this purpose," Jaitley said while presenting India`s national budget for the next fiscal.

With the help of entrepreneurs and researchers, the platform will foster a culture of innovation, research and development, the minister said.
