BUDGET: INCOME TAX EXEMPTION LIMIT HIKED TO RS 1.80 LAKH

Also, senior citizens’ age for exemption has been reduced from 65 to 60 yrs, while their limit has been hiked to Rs 2,50,000. Further, the government has liberalised scheme of interest subversion of 1% on home loan by including loans upto Rs 15 lakhs for houses that cost upto Rs 25 lakhs.
