New Delhi: Fitbit, the California-based company whose devices and apps are mainly activity trackers, is finally in India and their products will be available through online retailer Amazon.

With their launch in India, the entire products of Fitbit Inc, such as Fitbit Surge, Fitbit Charge HR, Fitbit Charge, Fitbit Flex, etc. are available in the country.

Adding colour to the launch were Bollywood stars Shradda Kapoor, Tiger Shroff and badminton ace Saina Nehwal.


- You could snag Fitbit products online and more recently in June through Amazon India.

- The company finally announced that Fitbit’s range of products would be available at over 300 retail stores across the country. 

- The entire range of the company’s wearables were showcased at the launch – the spotlight was on the Surge that sits on top of the Fitbit tree.

- We like how it comes in three different sizes for varying wrist sizes. 

- It’s also one of the only ‘always on’ (with a greyscale display) wearables; so need to keep tapping your screen or shaking your hand in the middle of a workout or run. 

- There’s one hitch though, the device does not come with swappable straps, so you’re stuck to the one you buy.

- The GPS sensor adds a cool element – you can track workouts across different terrains and elevations. 

- The device also tracks calorie burns across different sporting activities with individual exercise summaries.

- Aside from the range of fitness bands was FitStar; this was a company Fitbit acquired recently and boasts of one of the most popular Fitness coach apps.

- The premium service will cost approximately Rs 2,500 for an annual subscription while the plain vanilla service is currently free

- The entire Fitbit range is now available in India with prices of the products starting from Rs 3,990 upto Rs 19,990.
