Obi Worldphone launches SF1 and SJ1.5 smartphones

New Delhi: Obi Worldphone has launched two new smartphones - the SF1 and SJ1.5. Obi Mobiles, rebranded as Obi Worldphone is backed by ex-Apple CEO John Sculley.

The two SF1 and SJ1.5 are priced at $199 and $129 respectively that loosely translates into over Rs 8,000 and Rs 13,000.

The SF1 and SJ1.5 can run Google Play Store supported Android applications. Besides the AVG Anti-Virus app, other apps loaded on the SF1 and SJ1.5 will be Swiftkey, AccuWeather, Clean Master, and ColorNote.

Designed by San Francisco-based product studio Ammunition, the SF1 and SJ1.5 will integrate technology from Qualcomm, Dolby, Sony, Corning Incorporated, Google, MediaTek, Japan Display, Inc. and Samsung to deliver a powerful performance.

The phones will be available in October in some countries (available in Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kenya, Nigeria, Tanzania, South Africa, Pakistan and Turkey ) while its roll-out in India is scheduled for December this year, some reports in the media say.
