Indore: State-run telecom operator BSNL Monday said it aims to garner revenues worth Rs 1,000 crore in the current fiscal from Madhya Pradesh circle.

"We are aiming for Rs 1,000 crore in revenues from various services in this financial year. In FY15, we had registered revenues of about Rs 888 crore," BSNL Madhya Pradesh circle General Manager Ganesh Chandra Pandey told reporters.

He added that customers have outstanding dues of about Rs 114 crore and BSNL will soon take action to recover the same.

Pandey said about 80,000 customers have ported to BSNL from other telecom operators in the last three months, while 30,000 BSNL customers moved to other operators in the same period.

"After announcing free roaming facility, we have been able to bring back the old customers who had moved to other operators using mobile number portability," Pandey said.

He added that BSNL is setting up 11 towers and 14 new Wi-Fi hotspots in Ujjain, ahead of the Simhastha Kumbh Mela.

BSNL has 30 lakh subscribers in Madhya Pradesh, Pandey said.
