Washington: Commemorating the 40th anniversary of the foundation of Microsoft, co-founder Bill Gates outlined his vision for the company in a letter to its employees by saying that the company had achieved a lot during the first 40 years but added, "what matters most now is what we do next."

While noting that technology was still out of reach for many people, because it was complex or expensive or they simply did not have access, Gates said that the task ahead of Microsoft was to connect people to each other and make personal computing available everywhere, "even as the very notion of what a PC delivers makes its way into all devices," reported Mashable.

In the letter, the Microsoft co-founder also lauded the firm`s latest products such as, Cortana, Skype Translator and HoloLens and deliberated on the future of computing by saying that it will evolve faster in the next 10 years than it ever has before.
