Virtualization technology company Parallels has launched the latest version of its desktop virtualization software, Parallels 11 for Mac OS X users.

According to the Engadget, Parallels has full Windows 10 support including feature like having Microsoft's virtual assistant Cortana on the user's OS X desktops.

So, the users could have a Window's virtual assistant on their Mac before Siri, Apple's virtual assistant reaches the desktop.

Parallels have made it possible to run Windows apps directly on the users Mac desktop for years with its 'Coherence mode'.

Parallel's Cortana feature requires a Windows 10 virtual installation. It works just like it does on Windows 10, with decent voice recognition and no delays. It can even take advantage of the users Mac's location data, making it practically indistinguishable from a native OS X app.

In addition, Parallels 11 sports the usual performance improvements. It can launch and shut down Windows around 50 percent faster than the last version and a new 'travel mode' can save up to 25 percent of the battery life.

Parallels latest version is available for USD 80 however the users of the past two versions can upgrade for USD 50. Also Parallels 11 for Mac Pro Edition will cost the users USD 100 a year or USD 50 a year if they are upgrading from Parallels 9 or 10.
