New Delhi: Sometimes people shoot videos in vertical instead of horizontal, which is the optimum way of shooting for desktops.

Vertical videos on Youtube, when put in full screen even on the phone, would turn it sideways and end up making the video even smaller.

The update to the app stretches vertical video to the screen corners in the right orientation, fixing the old issue.

The new app looks slicker and has loads of features that are supposed to make it easier to edit and upload videos to the site.
