Mumbai: Private insurer HDFC Life has launched its new health insurance product, Health Assure Plan, which is aimed at providing a comprehensive health cover.
The plan offers reimbursement of medical expenses incurred in a hospital and is available in two variants - Gold Plan and Silver Plan, HDFC Life said in a release issued here.
It allows coverage for families on floater cover basis, covers 200 day care procedures, pre and post hospitalisation benefit and offers a host of other benefits.
"We are proud to announce the launch of Health Assure - a health insurance plan that will provide long term protection to our customers while offering a 50 percent no claim bonus," HDFC Life Managing Director and CEO Amitabh Chaudhry said.
Health Insurance is growing by more than 30 percent with current total market size of about Rs 14,000 crore.
"This market is expected to show robust growth and is projected to be more than Rs 30,000 crore in size over the next five years. We have been offering its services in this segment for a long time and offer cover for surgical care and critical illnesses. The addition of this Plan will strengthen our product offerings in this segment," he added.
The company has a tie-up with over 4,500 hospitals for cashless claims.
HDFC Life is a joint venture between Housing Development Finance Corporation and Standard Life, the leading provider of financial services in the United Kingdom.
