Biplob Ghosal/Kamna AroraDo you want to experience the true essence of ambrosial Lebanese cuisines, scrumptious Italian dishes and mouthwatering Indian food? If yes, Spirit Restaurant and Bar is a great option for Delhiites. The Lebanese-cum-Italian-cum-Indian restaurant is located at Connaught Place, the heart of Delhi.
With the fever of the Indian Premier League (IPL) running high, the restaurant is ready to surprise foodies and cricket lovers with some great offers.
The restaurant provides space for all. From loners to party throwers, this place accommodates everyone with great ease and pleasure. The marvelous glass painting depicting Albert Einstein with a violin near the entry/exit door itself is nothing less than a masterpiece. The colour, design, and of course tranquil atmosphere and ambience of the restaurant are worth mentioning.
The place offers authentic Lebanese cuisine. Aditya Mittal, who manages the restaurant, proudly told us that no Lebanese flavours have been altered to match Indian palettes.

To try how authentic the Lebanese tastes were, we ordered Spirit’s specialty - the Mezze platter (both vegetarian and non vegetarian). The vegetarian platter comprises Hummus, Moutabel, Tabbouleh, Tzatziki, Sambousek, Rice Kibbeh, Falafel and Arabic pickle with Pita bread. The non-vegetarian platter includes Hummus, Moutabel, Tabbouleh, Tzatziki, Meat Sambousek, Chicken Wings, Sumac Chicken and Arabic pickle with pita bread.
Along with the deluxe platters, we also tried Moroccan vegetable stew and Moroccan lamb stew. The dishes, offered with finesse, were delectable. The unique restro also offered another Lebanese platter which includes Assortment of Fish Cake, Shish Taouk, Kofta Halabi and Zatar Chicken served with Arabic pickle and Garlic mayonnaise.
We also tasted a portion of Azi`s special risotto and Spinach & Ricotta Ravioli, which were just sumptuous.
But the top scorer was the Pizza offered by the restaurant. For veggies, Mediterranean Pizza and Spirit Secret are a must try. Non-vegetarians can surely give Indiana Jones a shot. The freshly-baked pizza bases and the perfect width of toppings added to the pleasurable experience of having this otherwise usual Italian cuisine. Do not forget to add freshly-baked garlic bread topped with mozzarella cheese served with salsa to your platter.
No meal is complete for Delhiites without some
desi tadka. We had to order some Indian dishes to ascertain how authentic Indian flavours are at the restaurant. For those, who are accompanying Lebanese or Italian food lovers at this restaurant, the taste of Indian dishes are a surprise. Dal Makhni, Dum Aloo Kashmiri and Butter Chicken sound quite usual, but the tastes were unique.

Plus you cannot afford to give a miss to Tandoori pomfret, the whole pomfret marinated with Indian spices and cooked in the clay oven.
A wide range of cocktails and mocktails are also in the offing. Among the mocktails, Sweetlime Mojito, Cinderella and Flavoured Smoothie are a must try. Well for the hard drink lovers - Margarita, Pomegranate Rosemary Martini and Sangria would be divine.
Among the desserts, Dark chocolate mud cake with vanilla ice cream is the heavenly choice to wrap up a delicious meal.
As we mentioned earlier, the restaurant has space for all. For cricket lovers, Spirit has amazing deals to offer. To enjoy the two-hour match, the restaurant has two offers –the FREE HIT * @ 999 ++ Per Person and the HATTRICK * @ 666 ++ per person.
For the Free Hit choosers, one starter, one main course along with unlimited drinks is on the table. The HATTRICK lovers can choose any one vegetarian and one non-vegetarian starter along with three drinks. The whole menu of the restaurant is also available on its website.
