EC to review poll arrangements in Karnataka New Delhi: With the poll process in Karnataka set to begin on April 10, the Election Commission will take an elaborate review of the arrangements when its team visits Bangalore from Monday.

Chief Election Commissioner VS Sampath along with Election Commissioners H S Brahma and SNA Zaidi will hold a meeting with representatives of all political parties on April 8 and hear their grievances.

They will hold another meeting of top election officials on April 9 to discuss threadbare the poll and security arrangements.

EC to review poll arrangements in Karnataka The poll process for the Karnataka elections starts on April 10 with the issue of notification by the state Governor, paving the way for candidates to start filing their nominations.

The Commission has taken a number of measures to check the use of money power in elections besides checking paid news and other poll malpractices during these elections.

EC to review poll arrangements in Karnataka Karnataka will go to polls on May 5 to elect its 224- member Assembly. Counting of votes will be held on May 8.

While 36 constituencies are reserved for SCs, 15 are reserved for STs in the state. There are a total of 4.18 crore voters in Karnataka.
