Bokaro: A CRPF jawan was injured during a gunbattle with ultras of the CPI (Maoist) in the forests of Bokaro district on Thursday.
According to CRPF (26th Battalion) Commandant Sanjay Kumar, the encounter took place near Tulbul village during a long range patrolling at Jhumra Hills under Gomia police station of the district.
He said a jawan suffered injuries in the encounter.
Bokaro is under Giridih Lok Sabha seat where polling is underway.
