J&K CM Omar Abdullah shocked at Lok Sabha poll results

Srinagar: The 2014 Lok Sabha results have left Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah shocked.

Speaking after his National Conference-Congress alliance in the state failed to open its account, Abdullah said, “This is not the press conference I was expecting to be giving today... (I) did not expect this one-sided result in the state.”

“I take total responsibility for the results in the state,” Omar added.

Omar said there were important lessons to be learnt from the 2014 election results.

“We haven't yet been able to analyse the reasons for this verdict, but important lessons are to be learnt,” Omar stated.

He however expressed confidence that the NC will bounce back in the future.

“I hope you understand I am still coming to terms with the results, but this is not the end of National Conference,” Omar said.
