PA Sangma makes a courtesy call on Rajnath Singh

New Delhi: National People's Party (NPP) president and former Lok Sabha Speaker PA Sangma on Sunday met Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Rajnath Singh.

Describing his visit to Rajnath as a 'courtesy call', Sangma said, "I came here to congratulate him personally on his victory, and more so, on the thumping victory of the BJP -led National Democratic Alliance (NDA)."

"People of this country wanted a change. And now, this change will be provided by Narendra Modi and Rajnath Singh," he added.

On being questioned whether his party will be a part of the government, Sangma said, "We are already a part of the NDA. So we are a part of the ruling alliance. Whatever will be decided by the prime minister, we will accept that for the sake of the country."
