PM Manmohan Singh congratulates Narendra Modi on BJP's victory in Lok Sabha polls

New Delhi: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh congratulated BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi on Friday on NDA's big win in the 2014 Lok Sabha polls.

Singh who has been the PM of India in the Congress-led UPA for the past ten years will resign tomorrow.

The Congress was handed its worst ever defeat in the polls with the party's tally going below the 100 mark.

On the other hand BJP-led NDA has crossed the 300 mark.

Congress was facing a massive anti-incumbency going into the polls. Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi was the face of his party's campaign.
