Pratapgarh: A 40-year-old businessman was allegedly shot dead today and his bag containing cash around Rs five lakhs looted in Upadhayaypur village here, police said.
Om Prakash Misra who runs a shop in Narangpur bazar was going there on his bike when three motorcycle borne assailants opened fire at him, Additional SP, Ram Murat Yadav said.
The assailants also looted his cash and fled, the ASP said adding that the body has been sent for post mortem examination.
