Zeenews Sports BureauDubai: Spinners set up Pakistan’s seven-wicket victory over Australia in their first Twenty20 international at Dubai Stadium on Wednesday.
Australia were bowled out for just 89 19.3 overs thanks to skipper Mohammad Hafeez (2-24), Saeed Ajmal (2-13) and Raza Hasan (2-15).
Left-arm pacer Sohail Tanvir contributed to the victory with a figure of 3-13. Pakistan reached the target in 14.5 overs to take a 1-0 lead in the three-match series.
The second match will be played on Friday.
