London: Gautam Gambhir will be fit to bat in the fourth Test against England at The Oval on Sunday after recovering from the mild concussion he sustained while dropping a catch.
Gambhir hit his head on the ground on Friday when he dropped Kevin Pietersen, who went on to make 175 in a 350-run partnership with Ian Bell.
Gambhir did not field or bat on Saturday`s third day and was replaced in the field by Virat Kholi.
Team manager Anirudh Chaudhry said Gambhir had a "precautionary scan."
The batsman is now available to bolster a line-up that slumped to 103/5 in reply to England`s 591/6 declared.Bureau Report
