Queensland: Australian team began their U-19 World cup title defence by registering a six-wicket win over arch-rivals England in their opening match on Saturday.
After being called in to bat by Australia, England were all-out for 143 in 38.3 overs. Craig Overton was the top scorer with 35 runs. For Australia, left-arm pacer Gurinder Sandhu and spinner Ashton Turner took three wickets apiece.
The hosts took 35.4 overs to reach the target losing four wickets.
