Townsville: Indian colts registered a comprehensive 107-run win over the lowly Papua New Guinea in a Group C encounter of the Under-19 World Cup at Townsville on Thursday.
Despite being bowled out for 204, the India colts wrapped up the oppositions for a mere 97. Medium pacer Ravikant claimed 5 wickets for India.
Earlier, Papua New Guinea Under-19 team bowled India Under-19 team out for a below par 204 in 45.1 overs. India won the toss and decided to bat first.
Middle-order batsman Vijay Zol was the top scorer for India with 72. Opener Prashant Chopra also made 52.
For Papua New Guinea, Chad Soper took 5 wickets.
