London: Wicketkeeper-batsman Craig Kieswetter is targeting a week of double Lord’s joy with England and Somerset.
Victory over India in the fourth ODI on Sunday would seal the five-match series, while he is also likely to feature in the CB40 final against Surrey.
According to a leading daily, Kieswetter has been given the green light by England coach Andy Flower to play in the country’s domestic cricket’s showpiece one-day event.
Somerset have reached four consecutive 40-over and Twenty20 finals, but are yet to win one.
“To be out there contributing to a winning team is what I want to be doing, regardless of whether it is for Somerset or for England,” Kieswetter said.
“Last winter, I got my hunger and my drive to score the runs back and the hard effort I have been putting in has been paying off,” he added.
