
Auckland: New Zealand beat the West Indies by 81 runs in the first Twenty20 international at Eden Park on Saturday.
New Zealand, who elected to bat first, made 189-5 and the West Indies were 108-8 at the end of their 20 overs.
In the New Zealand innings Brendon McCullum made 60 not out and Tino Best took three for 40.
Andre Fletcher top-scored for the West Indies with 23 and Nathan McCullum took four for 24.
