
Canberra: England captain Alastair Cook won the toss and chose to bat against the Brett Lee-led Australian Prime Minister`s XI in Canberra on Tuesday.
Former Test quick Lee, aged 37, has promised to extend England`s misery in the day-night 50-over match at the Manuka Oval in the Australian capital.
The tourists will be looking for a morale-boosting performance ahead of the second of five one-day internationals against Australia in Brisbane on Friday.
Australia won Sunday`s opening ODI in Melbourne by six wickets following the 5-0 Ashes whitewash.
