Zee Media Bureau/ Suyash SrivastavaCenturion: In-form Australian speedster Mitchell Johnson continued his good run in Test matches, as he scalped three quick wickets against South Africa in the first Test match being played at SuperSport Park, Centurion.
The left-armer first scalped the wicket of skipper Graeme Smith who had no clue against a short ball, which he edged towards short third man, where Shaun Marsh ran backwards and took a good catch. Alviro Petersen was the next batsman to be dismissed, as the right-hander was beaten by pace and he nicked one to Brad Haddin.
Faf du Plessis was Johnson`s next victim, as the latter fired another short delivery which got the batsman into an awkward position and he hit it straight towards the slip cordon into the safe hands of Michael Clarke.
Johnson had astonishing figures of 10/3 in his first four overs and the Proteas batsmen looked totally helpless against his fearsome pace.
Earlier, Australia were bundled out for 397 runs, as a result of a massive 233-run partnership between Shaun Marsh (148) and Steven Smith (100).
