AIFF accepts bid from Kalyani Group to field team in I-League 2014-15

New Delhi: All India Football Federations`s Bid Evaluation Committee accepted the bid from Kalyani Group making them eligible to field a team in the 2014-15 I-League season.

Members of the Bid Evaluation Committee met at the AIFF Headquarters in New Delhi on Monday to decided on the proposed bids for the new I-League season.

Kalyani Group will field their team from Pune, Maharashtra. The new addition to the I-League takes the team tally to eleven in India`s top flight football league.

New I-League season begins on January 17, 2015.

Kalyani Group is a conglomerate with varied business interests in domains of high technology, engineering & manufacturing capability across critical sectors such as Engineering Steel, Automotive, Industrial, Renewable Energy, Urban Infrastructure and Specialty Chemicals.

Following teams participated in the 2013-14 edition of I-League:

Bengaluru FC, Churchill Brothers, Mohun Bagan, East Bengal Club, Dempo Sports Club, Mohammedan Sporting, Mumbai FC, United Sports Club, Pune FC, Rangdajied United FC, Salgaocar FC, Shillong Lajong FC, Sporting Clube de Goa
