Fortaleza (Brazil): Spain coach Vicente del Bosque has urged Brazilian fans to support his team during La Roja`s final Confederations Cup Group B match against Nigeria here Sunday.
Spain drew a lukewarm reception from fans during their 2-1 victory over Uruguay in Recife before being booed in last Thursday`s 10-0 win over Tahiti in Rio de Janeiro.
"I wouldn`t say the crowd wasn`t against Spain at the Maracana. They were on the side of Tahiti, for obvious reasons," Del Bosque said on the eve of Sunday`s match at the Castelao Stadium.
"But supporters are also capable of recognising when the best football is being played. I hope that we can do that tomorrow and that the crowd will be on our side."
Spain only needs a draw against Nigeria to guarantee a top spot finish in their group in the World Cup warm-up tournament.
