London: Manchester United defender Jonny Evans has said that their tendency to entertain and please their fans may have been leaving them vulnerable .
Although much of the focus after the New Year`s Day defeat against Tottenham Hotspur was on the penalty that never was - after Hugo Lloris` challenge on Ashley Young near the end - Evans was quick to point to United`s own shortcomings after a fourth home loss.
According to a leading publication, calling on his teammates to adopt a more patient system to turn around their disappointing league form at Old Trafford, the Irishman said that they want to entertain their fans and score goals, which may have been in their detriment a bit.
Evans further said that away from home, United tends to be more defensive in their set-up, adding that they may have been leaving themselves more open than necessary at home.
