Don`t care where I play as long as Germany are winning: BenderWarsaw: Lars Bender insisted that he had no issue with being deployed at right-back in in Sunday evening`s 2-1 victory over Denmark, explaining that he does not care where he plays as long as Germany win.

The Bayer Leverkusen ace is a midfielder by trade, but was utilised at the back during the game in Lviv and as well as looking defensively sound, the 23-year-old popped up with the winning goal.

Bender, who featured as a substitute in his country`s previous two Group B outings against Portugal and the Netherlands, revealed that Joachim Low`s decision to switch him to right-back had not come as a surprise.

"That is not my position but I played there during the entire build-up," the former 1860 Munich man told ARD.

"I should be humble. What is important is the team and that we continue to be successful. We have a positive spirit in our team.

"Apart from the goal, starting my first game [at the Euros] was something special. But I am happy I could score. That is, of course, a nice present."

Having topped their group with a 100 per cent winning record, Germany will now take on Greece in the last eight.
