Berlin: Bayern Munich`s Franck Ribery will miss Saturday`s top Bundesliga clash against Dortmund due to an injury, the Bavarians announced on their homepage.
The Frenchman, Bayern`s key player and UEFA`s Best Player in 2013, suffered a rib injury during the Tuesday`s 3-0 World Cup qualification play off victory over Ukraine, reports Xinhua.
"This is really bitter as I was desperate to play the top match in Dortmund. I`m sure the team can do it without me this time," the midfielder said Thursday.
However, it is not known if Ribery can return for the Champions League`s group stage game against CSKA Moskva Wednesday.
