Stuttgart`s Lehmann handed three-match ban
Berlin: VfB Stuttgart goalkeeper Jens Lehmann has been given a three-match suspension for his red card in last week`s league match against Mainz, the German Soccer Federation said on Wednesday.
Lehmann was sent off three minutes from time for pushing Mainz striker Aristide Bance after blocking a shot. Mainz converted the penalty and drew 1-1, denying Stuttgart what could have been only their third league win this season.Stuttgart fined the 40-year-old former Germany and Arsenal keeper 40,000 euros last week after making what the club said were derogatory remarks about their own fans.
