Bhubaneswar: Uttar Pradesh defeated Nagaland 3-2 in a closely-contested Cluster V match of the Santosh Trophy National Football Championships on Tuesday.
Both sides were levelled on 2-2 at the half time.
For UP, the scorers were Suresh Patel (5th), Ballu Verma (31st) and Mohd Kamaluddin (90th).
Kin Sumi scored both the goals for Nagaland in the 18th and 30th minutes.
In a Cluster III match at Baragarh, Madhya Pradesh beat Pondicherry 1-0.
