London 2012: Colombian runner out of Olympics for doping - IOCLondon: Colombian 400-metre runner Diego Palomeque is out of the Olympics after an anti-doping violation, the International Olympic Committee confirmed on Saturday.

The sprinter has been provisionally suspended, IOC spokesman Mark Adams confirmed, amid reports in Bogota he had tested positive for elevated levels of testosterone on July 26.

Palomeque was due to compete in the 400m heats today but did not start. Meanwhile, the IOC confirmed the suspension of Russian track cyclist Viktoria Baranova, who had tested positive for testosterone.

The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has vowed to make the London Games the most tested Olympics in history, and expect to analyse around 6,000 samples during the games.
