Rio de Janeiro: Britain has offered to help Brazil prepare for the 2014 World Cup and 2016 Olympic Games.
In a letter issued Thursday, the British consulate in Rio said it was ready to share its experiences from the London Games and help Brazil leave a lasting legacy, reports Xinhua.
"We know that we can use our knowledge and experience to help Brazil as the World Cup and Rio Games draw nearer," said Britain`s consul general in Rio Paula Walsh.
"We can learn from one another about how to transform sport into a habit that lasts a lifetime."
Earlier in the week, British Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg said that after this year`s Olympics Britain "has the skills and expertise to support Brazil as the baton is passed to Rio 2016".
