2012 Olympics: Haryana Govt announces Rs 1 crore for Gagan NarangChandigarh: Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda has congratulated ace shooter Gagan Narang for winning bronze medal at London Olympics today and announced to give him a reward of Rs one crore.

Hooda said that Narang has brought laurels to the state and the country and has made every Indian feel proud by getting India its first medal in the London Olympics.

Narang`s ancestors hailed from village Shimla, Gulshan, block Baboli in Panipat district. He hoped that our players would win more medals in this Olympics.

Hooda said that those players from Haryana winning Gold in Olympics will get Rs 2.50 crore, silver medalists will get Rs 1.50 crore while those winning bronze will be given a sum of Rs one crore.

Narang today opened India`s account in the London Olympic Games by clinching the bronze medal in the men`s 10m air rifle event.

Narang shot 103.1 in a gripping ten-shot finals for an aggregate of 701.1 after scoring 598 in the qualifying round in which also he stood third.
