Deepika Kumari, The World No.1 women’s archer is considered to be the best bet for Olympic medal in Archery.
The young prodigy won her first World Cup individual recurve gold medal on May 06 at Antalya, Turkey. Deepika, who has already qualified for London Olympics, is the current junior world champion and a gold medallist at the Delhi Commonwealth Games.
She had also won the Cadet World Title in 2009. She along with Laishram Bombayla Devi and Chekrovolu Swuro booked three Olympic quota places at Turin during the world championships in 2011.
She would be participating in the Women`s Individual Event as well as the Women`s Recurve Team Event.
