London: Another good news for the Indian fans. Vikas Krishan made it to the quarter-finals with a 13-11 victory over his American opponent Errol Spence.
Krishan won the first round 4-2 after which the American bounced back to win the second round 6-5. Towards the end, both the pugilists, especially Krishan looked entirely out of steam but he won the third round 4-3.
The 20-year-old boxer was taken by surprise when the referee by mistake raised the American’s hand. Krishan became the second India boxer to book a berth in the quarterfinals of the London Olympics.
