Shagun Chowdhary, ranked 28th in the world, is competing in trap shooting event in London Olympics.

The 28-year old from jaipur, Rajasthan has become the first Indian woman to qualify for this event in the Olympics after finishing 4th in the Belgrade World Championships last September.

Shagun, who at club level represents ONGC, attributes her success to coach Marcello Dradi of Italy and sports psychologist Vaibhav Agashe.

She is a right handed and right master eye player and has already participated in three World Cups -- in USA, England and Italy so to prepare herself for 30th Olympic Games.

TRIVIA

She was introduced to shooting by her father Sushil Chowdhary, a skeet shooter, when she was just 2-years old.
