Ashwini Ponnappa: It would be her first Olympics this year as she along with four other shuttlers would try to get a medal for the country. Her coach Syed Mohammed Arif has huge expectations from the 24-year-old and according to him Ponnappa and Gutta have the potential to win a medal at the prestigious games.
The doubles pair of Gutta and Ponnappa won the bronze medal at the World Championship last year and gold in the 2010 Commonwealth Games. They are currently ranked 19th in the world.
It is the dream of every athlete to represent the country at London Olympics. It would be a fantastic debut for the 24-year-old in case if she wins a medal.
