Jai Bhagwan: Profile 2012 London OlympicsFull Name: Jai Bhagwan

Born: 11 May 1985 (age 27)

Sports: Boxing

Weight: 60kg (Lightweight)<>

Jai Bhagwan: An eight-year-wait to represent India at Olympics could easily baffle any athlete. Bhagwan missed the 2004 Athens and 2008 Beijing Games. The 60kg boxer had reckoned that he is hungry to prove himself after the long wait.

Jai, a two-time Asian Championships medallist and a bronze winner at the Delhi Commonwealth Games, has for the time being reduced his social circle as he wants to focus only for the prestigious games.

It has been a long wait for Bhagwan. It ended at the world championships last year when he reached the quarter-finals and qualified for the London Olympics. Now that he is an Indian contingent, he should make sure that he proves his worth at the big stage.
