Sudha Singh: The 26-year-old holds the current Indian national record for 3000m Steeplechase with a mark of 9:55.67, which she clocked while winning the Gold in the XVI Asian Games at Guangzhou on 21 November 2010.
However she barely missed the Olympic qualification mark in Shanghai Diamond League last month. But later on she showed tremendous form to clock an impressive 9:47.70 secs which earned her the Olympic B-grade.
With long distance runners Preeja Sreedharan and Kavita Raut around, Sudha has recently shown improvement which we hope she would continue at the London Games.
