Vikas is another boxer from Bhiwani district in Haryana, a place which has produced some fabulous pugilists like Vijender Singh, Akhil Kumar.
Vikas won a gold medal in the 2010 Asian Games in the Lightweight category. In 2011 he also won a 2011 World Championship which gave rise to a hope of winning a medal at London Olympics.
