Murder near Games site puts question mark over Olympics security	London: The security of spectators and athletes visiting Britain during this year`s Olympics has been criticized following the murder of a young man at a prestigious shopping centre next to the gates of the main Games park.

According to a newspaper, Scotland Yard investigated five suspects, aged 20 to 23, about the stabbing of a 24-year old at the Westfield centre in Stratford, east London, on Friday. Yet, former Metropolitan Police commander Dai Davies urged a re-think on Games security, which is just less than four weeks away.

The violent death has been reported widely on the Internet with people from around the world openly expressing fears of being attacked by armed gangs. Westfield, which opened last September and is directly next to a main transport hub, will be the main thoroughfare for Games spectators.

Davies, who was in charge of protection for the Royal family, said: "Spectators will be pouring into London from all over the world and they need to be reassured that street crime and the terrorist threat are being dealt with".

Scotland Yard said two other young men suffered minor injuries during the attack, which happened in a busy area of the shopping centre called The Street.
