London 2012: US shooter Gray on target for rifle goldLondon: Jamie Lynn Gray of the United States shot her way to gold in the women`s 50 metres rifle three positions Saturday, setting two Olympic records along the way.

Gray dominated the field to win by 4.4 points from silver medallist Ivana Maksimovic of Serbia, while Adela Sykorova of the Czech Republic took bronze, 4.5 points further back.

"This is a dream come true, it is awesome. I made a plan and I stepped to it, it was just a great performance," Gray said.

After setting a new record of 592 points in qualifying, Gray outscored the field in the final with 99.9 to set a second record of 691.9 overall.

"You don`t come here to shoot an Olympic record, you come here to shoot the best you can," she said.

Poland`s Sylwia Bogacka, who won silver in the 10m air rifle last week, challenged for a medal following a comparatively poor qualifying score, but could only finish fourth.
