Madrid: Honda rider Marc Marquez won the Spanish MotoGP in front of his home fans in Jerez.
The reigning World Champion put in another dominant display in a race Sunday in which Jorge Lorenzo suffered a bad start, allowing Marquez, who was followed by Valentino Rossi (Yamaha) and fellow Spaniard Dani Pedrosa (Honda), to race into the lead, reports Xinhua.
Marquez`s victory in Jerez saw him move 28 points clear of Pedrosa in the riders` Championship, with Rossi 39 points behind and Lorenzo 65 off the pace.
