Sopot, Poland: Greece`s Konstadinos Filippidis won the men`s pole vault at the World Indoor Athletics Championships at Sopot on Saturday.
In the absence of onlooking Olympic champion Renaud Lavillenie, the Frenchman having injured his foot just after setting a new world record of 6.16 metres last month, the Greek managed a best of 5.80m.
Germany`s Malte Mohr took silver and Jan Kudlicka of the Czech Republic bronze, both on countback after they too managed 5.80m.
