Indian Railways finish 2nd in international shooting
Kolkata: Indian Railways stood second in the 14th Union of International Railways Shooting Championship which was held in Krakow (Poland) from August 23-27.



The Indian Railways team overall secured 8345 points out of 9000 to finish second thus improving their last edition`s fifth-place standing in Zurich in 2006.



France won the Championship by a margin of seven points only.
The Indian Railways team consisting of 12 players bagged team gold in Air Rifle 10m, Air Pistol 10m and .22 Rifle 3-position 50m.



In .22 Pistol 25m and .22 Rifle Prone 50m, Indian Railways team finished eighth.



In the individual category, Anuja Jung in Air Rifle and Vishwajeet Shinde in Rifle 3-Position finished on top.Ashok Karande in Air Rifle and Yogesh Sudake in Air Pistol finished third.
