Limba Ram to receive Lifetime Achievement award by CSJC
Kolkata: National Archery coach Limba Ram has been chosen to receive Lifetime Achievement award by the Calcutta Sports Journalist Club.

The 39-year-old, who coached India to the first-ever silver medal in Asian Games besides winning two bronze medals, will be conferred the award at CSJC`s annual function on Monday.

Under Limba`s coaching, India also won three golds, one silver and four bronzes while the men`s recurve team emerged World Cup champions in Stage II and IV of the competitions last year.

Comparing the award with that of the Arjuna that he received in 1991, Limba said it would inspire the budding youngsters to do well in their field.

"It will be a big motivation for the youngsters. Taking Indian men`s team to the pinnacle after their World Cup success was a big achievement," said Limba.

The coach said the ultimate achievement would be to get a medal or two in the next year`s London Olympics.
